Vita Coco Gives Opportunity Around the Globe

Thank you to Vita Coco for contributing to this post!

Two guys meet two Brazilian women at a Lower East Side bar in New York.  It sounds like the beginning of a joke but it’s actually the beginning of the Vita Coco brand.   Since that fateful evening in 2004, Vita Coco has been a leader in introducing coconut water to the U.S., with strong support for Whole Foods Market, the first grocery chain to sell the brand nationally. Vita Coco is all-natural, super-hydrating, fat-free, cholesterol-free, nutrient-packed, potassium-stacked and packed full of electrolytes.

Now, Vita Coco and Whole Foods Market are teaming up again – this time to support the developing world communities that source and produce the fresh coconut water synonymous with the Vita Coco brand. Whole Planet Foundation funds poverty alleviation through microlending programs in 57 countries including Brazil, where Vita Coco sources their coconuts. From now through July 16th, Vita Coco will donate $0.25 for every 1 liter of Vita Coco sold in Whole Foods Market stores companywide to Whole Planet Foundation.

As a special thank you to Vita Coco consumers, we’re selecting three people to win a month’s supply of Vita Coco.  Be sure to visit our Facebook page and leave a comment on the post around this partnership for your chance to win!
