Colombia Trip: Part 1

With my first of 4 months in Colombia coming to a close, I wanted to share with you guys what I’ve been up to. As I mentioned in this post, I’m here to volunteer with our Microfinance partner in Bogota and gain some experience in the field, but not before I took a little time to myself to vacation, explore and visit with family.

My first few weeks were spent in the beautiful coastal city of Cartagena and a small pueblo, Sincelejo. I’ve had the greatest time so far laying on the beach, eating delicious food and maybe enjoying a beer or two – all while avoiding the Secret Service ;)

If you haven’t been, Cartagena, is amazing. While my travels are limited, I think this might be the best city in the world.

A perfect combination of city and beach life

With amazing sunsets

Not to mention the great food. Pictured here, an all time favorite: Arepa con huevo

I’ll check back in with you all soon. I just started my volunteering and am excited to share this experience with you too!

By the way, if you are on Instagram, make sure you follow us there, where I will be uploading more photos. @WholePlanet
